​In a chilling incident that has shocked the community, 29-year-old Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer, was brutally murdered in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The crime was allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla.​ Details of the Crime:Planning and Execution: Eight days prior to the murder on March 4, Muskan purchased two knives for ₹800 and a cut-throat razor. She and Sahil rehearsed the stabbing multiple times, indicating premeditation. ​ Murder and Dismemberment: On the night of March 4, after drugging Saurabh, Muskan allegedly slit his throat, and Sahil beheaded him. They severed his hands to hinder identification and dismembered the body into 15 pieces. The remains were placed in a plastic drum, filled with cement, and sealed. ​ Aftermath: Following the murder, Muskan and Sahil attempted to mislead family members by sending messages from Saurabh's phone, creating the illusion he was alive. They also traveled to Manali, celebrating Holi together, just 11 days after the crime. ​ Investigation and Arrests: The crime was uncovered when Saurabh's family reported him missing. Upon investigation, police discovered the cement-filled drum containing his dismembered body. Muskan and Sahil were arrested and charged with murder and destruction of evidence.
