On April 22, 2025, a devastating terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the lives of 26 individuals and injured over 20 others. the assailants, affiliated with the Resistance Front—a group linked to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba—specifically targeted male tourists, segregating them based on religion before executing them at close range. Nature of the Attack - the militants were dressed in military fatigues and carried automatic rifles. - Victims were forced to recite Islamic verses or prove circumcision to determine their religion. - Non-Muslims were executed at close range, while some women and children were spared to “deliver a message.” This attack exposed the chilling brutality of terrorism but also revealed stories of bravery, heartbreak, and the power of human instinct in the face of death. Each name in this tragedy is a reminder of the innocent lives shattered and the resilience of those who survived.
