New Delhi: On Sunday, Congress leader Pawan Khera raised a few major concerns quoting the recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, questioning it's sudden announcement and the third party involvement, also the recent implications carried by Chief Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan. In a recent statement, Khera emphasized the need for clarity on the government's foreign policy and defence strategies, especially in relation to national security and diplomatic engagements with Pakistan and the United States. He also criticised the government's handling of Operation Sindoor, an alleged strike on terrorist sites, and accused it of prior disclosure to Pakistan about the operation, describing this pre-information aa a "grave error of judgement". Additionally, Khera questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's repeated claims of brokering and negotiations in India-Pakistan relations. It suggests the lack of clarity undermining India's diplomatic position and transparency with its citizens. the Congress party's remarks highlight ongoing concerns and criticisms regarding the handling of the ceasefire agreement and the broader national security and foreign policy decisions surrounding it.
