Recent efforts to negotiate a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine have hit a road block. A phone call between U. S PRESIDENT and VLADIMIR PUTIN lasted over two hours, but no agreement was reached on a immediate ceasefire. PUTIN has expressed his willingness to work with the Ukrainian side on a memorandum for a peace, but didn't commit to an immediate temporary ceasefire. Donald Trump has been actively engaging in diplomatic efforts with plans to call Ukrainian president Volodymyr zelenskyy and other European leaders to discuss the ending of this conflict.. But zelenskyy emphasized the need for pressure on Russia to stop the war, stating that " Pressure is needed against Russia untill they are eager to stop the WAR". Recent direct talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul yielded some progress, including an agreement to exchange 1,000 prisoners of war, but failed to achieve a ceasefire agreement. However situation are still complex, European leaders are urging Trump to consider additional sanctions and tariffe on Russian energy and banking if a ceasefire isn't achieved
