India Accelerates Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Completion by 2027

India is fast-tracking the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, aiming for completion by mid-2027, officials confirmed on March 22. The 1,350-kilometer expressway will connect the national capital with Mumbai, slashing travel time from 24 to 12 hours. According to Reuters, this mega infrastructure project is a key part of India’s plan to boost trade and economic growth. The expressway will feature 12 lanes and include state-of-the-art safety and green technology. With over 60% of the construction already complete, the government expects the project to generate thousands of jobs and significantly improve logistics across western and northern India.
