India Launches $15B Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Phase 2

India has officially commenced Phase 2 of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project as of July 7, 2026. The $15 billion high-speed rail corridor aims to reduce travel time between the two cities from 7 hours to just 2 hours. According to The Hindu, this phase includes the construction of additional stations and advanced signaling systems to enhance safety and efficiency.
