India Launches First Indigenous Electric Train on Mumbai Route

India unveiled its first indigenous electric train today, operating on the Mumbai suburban route. The train, developed by the Indian Railways’ Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO), aims to reduce carbon emissions by 30% compared to conventional models.
