India Successfully Test-Fires New Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile from Odisha

India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test-fired a new long-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) from the Integrated Test Range in Odisha today. The missile, designed to intercept high-altitude aerial threats, achieved a target hit at a range of 150 km, according to the Ministry of Defence. This test marks a significant upgrade to India’s missile defense capabilities amid rising regional security challenges. PTI reports the missile will soon be integrated into the Indian Air Force’s defense grid, enhancing protection against hostile aircraft and ballistic missiles.
